Preparing your maze…

Small moves. New possibilities.

How to play Quantum Maze

Move the pink player to the green exit, marked with a ring. You can step onto any open path, one square at a time. Walls block your way. There is no timer or energy limit, so take a moment to plan.

Switch your surroundings

Step onto a yellow star to use that switch once. It flips the four neighboring ordinary squares: walls become paths, and paths become walls. Diagonals stay unchanged. The start, exit, and other switches stay safe.

A used switch stays open but will not flip the maze again. Look at what changes on both sides before you cross.

Experiment without a penalty

Undo takes back your last step, including any switch it activated. Retry restores the same starting maze. Every puzzle is available from the selector; finishing one never moves you to the next automatically.

Hint marks one next step on a route to the exit. Using it marks this attempt as assisted, so it will not replace an unassisted best. If you get stuck, undo a step or retry.

Controls and saved progress

On a touchscreen or with a mouse, tap an open square immediately above, below, left, or right of your player. The four arrow buttons also move you. On a keyboard, Tab to the maze and use the arrow keys or WASD. The rest of the page keeps its normal scrolling controls.

Your latest position in each puzzle, completed puzzles, and unassisted best move counts save in this browser. They stay on this device. If storage is unavailable or cleared, you can still play, but your progress may not survive a reload.
