Breakline is a free, single-player 3D browser racing game from Zero Star Games. Race seven AI opponents, brake into a drift and bank boost for the next straight. Earn in-game credits, repair crash damage and build a garage of cars with different handling styles.
Three circuits. Nine career events.
- Dockside District: industrial streets, warehouses and a waterfront circuit.
- Seabright Coast: a seaside town, coastal sweepers and an open boost straight.
- Pinecrest Pass: forest roads, mountain climbs and downhill braking zones.
Each circuit has three-lap Introductory, Challenger and Expert events, unlocked through race results. Earlier unlocked events remain replayable. The six car models are Kestrel GT, Vela RS, Vandal R, Torque V8, Stratus XR and Comet MR. Spend credits on engine, tires, brakes and boost upgrades, or repair the condition that carries between races.
How to play
- Keyboard: W or Up accelerates; S or Down brakes; A/D or Left/Right steers. Space activates boost, R recovers the car and Escape pauses.
- Controller: left stick steers, RT accelerates, LT brakes, A activates boost, Y recovers and Menu pauses. D-pad navigates menus, A selects and B goes back.
- Touch: independent left/right, brake and boost buttons. Choose automatic acceleration or a manual gas button in Settings. Braking overrides gas and boost. Turn your phone sideways for a wider view, or choose Continue in portrait. Rotating into portrait pauses an active race; resume when you are ready.
Career and browser saves
Buy your first car with the starting credits, then race to earn prizes and unlock events. Hard crashes reduce performance. Repairs use cash first; repair credit covers an eligible shortfall and is repaid from future winnings. There is no cloud save or account synchronization. A saved career belongs to this browser, and one tab can use it at a time; the game clearly labels temporary play when persistent saving is unavailable.
Frequently asked questions
Is Breakline free to play?
Breakline is free to play in a browser, with no account required. Cars, upgrades and repairs use in-game credits, not real money.
How do I drift and use boost?
Build speed, then brake and turn sharply into a corner. Release the brake and balance your steering to hold the slide. Controlled forward drifting earns stored boost. Hold Space, the controller A button or the touch BOOST button to spend it; braking takes priority. There is no separate drift button.
Can I use a keyboard, controller or touchscreen?
The game includes keyboard controls, standard gamepad support and on-screen touch buttons. Settings offers automatic or manual touch acceleration. Racing requires JavaScript and a WebGL 2-capable browser; performance varies by device.
Where is my career saved?
Progress and settings are saved in this browser when local storage and session locking are available. Open one tab for a saved career. If saving is unavailable, the game displays a temporary-session notice. Progress does not sync across devices, and clearing browser data can erase it.
What if I run out of credits with a damaged car?
Repair credit can cover a repair's cash shortfall up to a total debt of 600 credits. Future race prizes repay 20% of the gross winnings toward that debt. An unlocked introductory event remains available even with maximum damage or debt.
